Following the raid in Florida, Sean Kingston himself was arrested in southern California.

The arrest, made without incident, stemmed from a Florida warrant connected to allegations of unpaid bills for a large TV and sound system. Kingston was scheduled to be booked into a jail in San Bernardino.

Sean Kingston Responds on Social Media Prior to Arrest

Before his arrest, Sean Kingston appeared to address the situation on his social media platform, Instagram. He assured fans that both he and his mother were alright and stated his legal team was handling the situation.

While no official response has been received from Kingston or his mother, a lawyer representing them acknowledged the allegations and expressed confidence in a positive resolution in court.

Cause of the Raid: Allegations of Fraudulent Purchase

According to court documents, the reason behind the raid and arrests appears to be connected to a lawsuit filed by Ver Ver Entertainment. The company claims that Kingston contacted them in September 2023 to purchase a massive television and sound system.

Ver Ver Entertainment alleges that Kingston convinced them to install the products with a minimal down payment through false promises, including collaborations with Justin Bieber for promotional videos.

However, after the installation, Kingston reportedly failed to make the remaining payments, leading the company to file a lawsuit against him for breach of contract and fraud.

A lawyer representing Ver Ver Entertainment seeks to recover the company's property from the house following the raid.
