Who is Vivek Ramaswamy, The Youngest Major Republican Candidate In History

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, to parents who migrated from Kerala to the US, Ramaswamy attended Harvard University for his undergrad and earned a law degree from Yale University.

Ramaswamy, 38, is a biotech entrepreneur and a regular contributor on Fox News. After a short stint in investment banking, he founded Roivant Sciences in 2014.

His business model centered on seeking to revive unwanted drugs from larger pharmaceutical companies.

With the slogan "America First 2.0," Ramaswamy is advocating that Trump's policy agenda wasn't fully realized during his presidency. He emphasizes executive actions in his platform.

His plan involves enacting certain proposals "without the consent or pardon of Congress," a move some experts argue could test the limits of presidential power.

In March, Ramaswamy expressed that countering Russia's conflict in Ukraine isn't a vital U.S. concern and advocated for European self-sufficiency in handling the situation.

Ramaswamy has published two books - Woke Inc and Nation of Victims: Identity Politics, the Death of Merit, and the Path Back to Excellence.
