Kenya dam bursts
Over 40 individuals have lost their lives in Kenya following the rupture of a dam due to intense rainfall and subsequent flooding, according to authorities.
The incident occurred in Kamuchiri village in the western region of the country, resulting in the destruction of homes and the isolation of roads.
Nakuru county governor Susan Kihika stated that the death toll of 42 is likely to rise as rescue efforts continue. This tragic event adds to the toll of over 100 lives claimed by floods across Kenya in recent weeks.

Rescue teams are currently engaged in the challenging task of searching for survivors amidst the mud in the affected village, located close to Mai Mahiu, approximately 60km from Nairobi.
