While the official cause of death remains unconfirmed, TMZ reported that Colin's mother stated he died after slipping and falling in the shower while house-sitting for a friend in Brussels.

Charlie Colin: A Founding Member with a Unique Musical Style
Colin was a bassist for Train and played a significant role in the band's early sound. In a 2022 interview, he clarified that he "technically left Train in 2005."
His unique bass lines and beautiful guitar work were instrumental in getting the band noticed in San Francisco and beyond, according to a heartfelt tribute posted on Train's official Instagram account.
