Kyle Carrozza Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

Kyle Carrozza Arrested for possession of child pornography. The creator of the Cartoon Network series "Mighty Magiswords" was arrested in Burbank, California on June 20th as part of an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigation.

Freelancer Kyle Carrozza Faces Child Pornography Charges

According to Burbank Police Department arrest records, 45-year-old Carrozza, a freelancer, was taken into custody at 7:30 a.m.

He is facing Kyle Carrozza child pornography charges which include possession of child pornography under California Penal Code 311.11(a) and an enhanced 311.11(c) charge for possessing at least 12 videos or 600 images of child pornography.

Possible Penalties for Kyle Carrozza

These offenses can be classified as either misdemeanors or felonies, with penalties ranging from up to one year in county jail to up to five years in state prison.

If convicted, Kyle Carrozza will be required to register as a sex offender.

Cartoon Network Creator’s Background

Carrozza, an animator with experience at studios including Disney, Nickelodeon, and Paramount, was educated at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Kyle Carrozza's "Mighty Magiswords" debuted in 2015 as an online-only short-form series.

The show, featuring sibling warriors-for-hire Vambre Marie Warrior and Prohyas Robert Warrior, was Cartoon Network’s first online original series. Kyle Carrozza served as animator, voice actor, musician, and storyboard artist for the series.

“Mighty Magiswords” Became a Television Show

In 2016, the series was developed into a linear television show, running for two seasons and over 90 episodes until 2018.

The show received mixed reviews, but was noted for its humor and the antics of the characters.

Carrozza’s Other Work

Kyle Carrozza's other credits include storyboarding for Warner Bros Animation’s "Animaniacs" reboot, Apple TV+’s "The Snoopy Show" and "Camp Snoopy," and Disney Junior’s "Doc McStuffins."

He also worked on character layout for Paramount’s "SpongeBob SquarePants: Sponge Out of Water."
