Esta TerBlanche’s Publicist Confirms Passing
TerBlanche's publicist, Lisa Rodrigo, confirmed her passing on Facebook in a heartfelt post. "I can't believe I am sharing this news," Rodrigo wrote.
"It's with a heavy heart that my friend and client, Esta TerBlanche, died on Thursday of natural causes. An autopsy report is forthcoming."
Esta TerBlanche Found Acting in English Challenging
Born in South Africa in 1973, TerBlanche began her acting career in her home country. She was crowned Miss Teen South Africa in 1991 and went on to star in the South African soap opera "Egoli: Place of Gold" from 1992 to 1995.
Joining the cast of "All My Children" presented a unique challenge for TerBlanche, who found working in English and memorizing lines for the hour-long program daunting compared to her previous experience on a half-hour South African show.

TerBlanche returned to South Africa in 2001 after her time on "All My Children." There, she opened a spa and hosted several television shows. She is survived by her goddaughter, Barbie Ashley.
