Kanye West Sued for Sexual Harassment

Kanye West is facing a new lawsuit from a former assistant who is accusing him of sexual harassment, breach of contract, and wrongful termination.

Lauren Pisciotta, who worked for West for two years, claims he sent her inappropriate texts and engaged in sexual acts while on phone calls with her.

Kanye West Sued: Details of the Lawsuit

According to US media, Pisciotta alleges she was dismissed in 2022 and never received a promised $3 million (£2.4 million) severance package. The BBC has reached out to West's lawyer for a statement but has not yet received a response.

The lawsuit was initially reported by TMZ and later confirmed by Rolling Stone, The Wrap, and US Weekly, which stated that the court documents were filed on Monday in the US.

Lauren Pisciotta’s Employment and Collaboration with Kanye West

According to the court documents, Lauren Pisciotta was primarily earning an income through her OnlyFans profile in 2021 when she met Kanye West.

She claims that West initially hired her to work on the first season of his Yeezy women’s fashion line, and they also collaborated on three tracks from his Donda album, although she does not have official credits on the record.

Pisciotta states that West then employed her as his personal assistant with an annual salary of $1 million (£780,000), requiring her to be available "24-7," a condition she agreed to.

Kanye West Sued: A Pattern of Allegations

This is not the first time Kanye West has faced accusations of inappropriate behavior. Last November, several employees from his Yeezy fashion line told Rolling Stone that he had shown pornographic films during staff meetings and shared an intimate photo of his then-wife Kim Kardashian during job interviews.

West did not respond to these allegations at the time and has remained silent since. Previously, he has spoken about his "full-on pornography addiction" which he said "destroyed my family."

In an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, West revealed that his addiction began in childhood when he found a Playboy magazine left out by his father at age five, influencing many of his life choices.

West has also faced two other lawsuits this year. In April, Kanye West was accused of racial discrimination and harassment by Benjamin Deshon Provo, a former security guard at his now-closed Donda Academy.

In February, he was also sued by the estate of Donna Summer for using a sample of her song "I Feel Love" without permission; this case was settled out of court.
