Caitlin Clark Signs Landmark Deal with Wilson

Women's basketball star Caitlin Clark has signed a landmark sponsorship agreement with US sporting goods company Wilson, reminiscent of Michael Jordan's deal. Wilson will launch a signature collection featuring Clark, including limited edition basketballs.

Jordan, an NBA legend, was the last athlete to secure a similar deal with Wilson. This partnership adds to Clark's expanding list of endorsements, establishing her as a major figure in US sports.

Under the multi-year agreement, Clark will serve as a brand ambassador and collaborate on additional product releases with Wilson, a company with a century-long history. "Wilson has been a part of some of the most critical moments in my career," Clark said in a press release.

Clark Thrilled to Partner with Wilson

"I couldn’t be more thrilled to help advance basketball with Wilson. Having my own basketball collection feels like a dream," said Clark.

Endorsement Deals and Professional Debut

Clark has also secured endorsement deals with Nike, Gatorade, State Farm, and others. The 22-year-old was the first overall pick in this year's draft, joining the WNBA's Indiana Fever after a standout collegiate career at Iowa University.

During her college years, she gained fame by breaking numerous basketball records and amassed an international following, with over two million Instagram followers. Her significant impact on the sport is known as the Caitlin Clark effect.

One of her notable achievements includes breaking the record for the most three-point shots made in a single season, surpassing the previous record held by NBA star Steph Curry.

Special Edition Basketballs

As part of the agreement, Wilson will release three limited-edition white and gold basketballs featuring Clark, celebrating her inaugural WNBA season.

One of these basketballs will depict her iconic pose after making a long-range shot.

Challenging Start in the WNBA

Despite her off-court successes, Clark's professional career has had a challenging start.

Her team, the Indiana Fever, has yet to secure a win, currently standing at zero wins and four losses.

Nonetheless, Clark leads the team in scoring, averaging 17 points per game.
