Arrest of Sean "Diddy" Combs' Associate

An associate of Sean "Diddy" Combs was taken into custody on Monday, coinciding with the day when agents from Homeland Security Investigations conducted raids at two homes belonging to the founder of Bad Boy Records.

Details of the Arrest
Brendan Paul, a former basketball player for Syracuse University, was apprehended by officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. He faces felony charges for allegedly possessing suspected cocaine and marijuana-infused candy, as outlined in an arrest affidavit obtained by USA TODAY. The arrest stemmed from a collaborative effort involving Miami-Dade law enforcement, the Department of Homeland Security, and Customs and Border Protection.

Contraband Concealed in Luggage
According to the affidavit, the defendant purportedly had the illicit substances concealed within his travel bags, which he acknowledged before undergoing a search. Following testing procedures, officers confirmed that the substances in question were indeed cocaine and edible marijuana products.

Legal Proceedings and Charges
Paul was granted release on a $2,500 bond the following day, Tuesday, with a scheduled hearing slated for April 24. There is currently no available information regarding legal representation for Paul.

Allegations in Civil Lawsuit
In a civil lawsuit filed by Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones Jr. against Bad Boy Records founder Sean "Diddy" Combs and actor Cuba Gooding Jr. for alleged sexual assault and harassment, Paul is referred to as Combs' "mule."

Allegations of Drug Trafficking
In an updated legal filing submitted to a New York federal district court by Jones on Monday, he describes Paul as Combs' "mule," alleging that Paul was responsible for acquiring, transporting, and distributing various illicit substances, including ecstasy, cocaine, GHB, ketamine, marijuana, mushrooms, and tuci. These substances were purportedly concealed in their carry-on luggage and passed through TSA security checks.

Definition of "Tuci"
The lawsuit defines tuci as "a pink substance that combines ecstasy and cocaine."

Collaboration with Combs
Jones collaborated with Combs on his latest album, titled "The Love Album: Off the Grid." According to Jones, their collaboration spanned from September 2022 to November 2023, during which they worked closely together.

This partnership led to the creation of nine songs featured on "The Love Album," where Jones is acknowledged as a producer. Despite Jones' accusations, Diddy has refuted any wrongdoing.

Allegations of Carrying Firearms
In the legal complaint, Jones claims that Combs "mandated" him and Paul "to carry (Combs') firearm at all times when they were out."

Involvement of Other Defendants
Furthermore, the lawsuit alleges that defendant Kristina Khorram assigned Paul, Moy Baun, and Frankie Santella various tasks, including drug trafficking and arranging sex workers for Combs.

Role in Procuring Sex Workers
As outlined in the court filings, Paul was part of a group of Combs' employees tasked with "negotiating the fees for sex workers and ensuring their payment."

Involvement of Celebrities
Jones alleges that City Girls rapper Yung Miami, along with wellness coach Jade Ramey and Daphne Joy, the former girlfriend and co-parent of rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, were among the women who received monthly compensation for their services as sex workers for Mr. Combs.

Allegations Against Yung Miami
Furthermore, Jones asserted that in April 2023, Yung Miami transported tuci on a private jet from Miami because "Sean Combs wanted tuci but Brendan forgot it." He claims that Khorram contacted Yung Miami to obtain the drug while Combs was rehearsing for the Something in the Water Music Festival in Virginia.

Definition of "Tuci"
According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine's National Center for Biotechnology Information, "tusi" is described as a concoction, sometimes known as "pink cocaine" due to its pink powder form.

Research indicates that the majority of tusi samples contain ketamine, often combined with MDMA, methamphetamine, cocaine, opioids, and/or new psychoactive substances.

Relationship Between Combs and Yung Miami
Combs and Yung Miami were initially romantically linked in 2021. They later confirmed their relationship during a June 2022 episode of the "Caresha Please" podcast.

Allegations Against Other Celebrities
Jones' lawsuit has implicated other celebrities, including Yung Miami, whose unnamed cousin was accused of sexual assault after allegedly "bursting into the bathroom and groping" Jones during a Thanksgiving Day gathering in 2022.

Jones also alleges that producer Stevie J assisted in recruiting sex workers for Combs and participated in sex parties known as "freak-offs," a term allegedly used by Combs to describe sexual encounters with sex workers, according to the lawsuit.
