AMC Acquires Rights to Snowpiercer Series
AMC has secured the rights to all four seasons of the post-apocalyptic series Snowpiercer, including the previously unaired fourth season.
Originally broadcasted on TNT, the show faced cancellation by the Warner Bros. Discovery network in January 2023, amidst the network's shift away from scripted content, which also affected affiliated channels TBS and TruTV.

Snowpiercer Seasons Streaming Soon
The first three seasons of Snowpiercer are slated to stream on AMC+ later this year, with the fourth and final season scheduled to premiere on both AMC and AMC+ in early 2025.
Ben Davis, AMC Networks and AMC Studios' executive vice president of original programming, expressed excitement about the acquisition, noting the series' dedicated fanbase and its alignment with other major franchise series on the network.
Transition from TNT to AMC
As TNT began scaling back its scripted content even before the WarnerMedia-Discovery merger in April 2022, Snowpiercer was set to be the network's final in-house drama before Warner Bros.
Discovery discontinued scripted programming on the so-called T-nets in January 2023. Seeking a new home for the series, Tomorrow Studios, the production company behind Snowpiercer, found AMC to be an ideal partner.

Tomorrow Studios executives expressed enthusiasm for Snowpiercer's final season finding a home on AMC, highlighting the network as the perfect collaborator to bring the series to its conclusion.
Paul Zbyszewski, known for his work on Agents of SHIELD and Lost, took over as showrunner for the fourth season, succeeding Graeme Manson.
A Glimpse into Snowpiercer’s World
Snowpiercer, adapted from Bong Joon-ho's 2013 film and a French graphic novel, portrays the remnants of humanity traversing the globe aboard a class-stratified train.
The ensemble cast includes Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, Sean Bean, and others, with the final season featuring additional talent such as Clark Gregg and Michael Aronov.
Production Details and Distribution
Season four of Snowpiercer is executive produced by Zbyszewski, alongside producers from the 2013 film, with ITV Studios handling international distribution.
The agreement to bring Snowpiercer to AMC marks a new chapter for the series, offering fans the opportunity to experience its conclusion on the network.
