The Final Season of “Young Sheldon” Arrives
The seventh and ultimate season of "Young Sheldon" has arrived.
The popular spinoff from "The Big Bang Theory" focuses on a younger rendition of Jim Parsons' character, Young Sheldon Cooper, and his upbringing in Texas.
In November 2023, CBS declared that the seventh season would mark the conclusion of the show, culminating in a one-hour series finale airing on May 16.
Amy Reichenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, remarked in a statement, "As a prequel to one of the biggest comedies, 'Young Sheldon' has shown that success can strike twice.
We anticipate witnessing the final season unfold and providing it with a fitting sendoff, featuring the best episodes yet for their dedicated fans to savor."
Iain Armitage as Sheldon Cooper
CBS describes Sheldon Cooper as a "rare intellect with exceptional abilities in math and science, which isn't always advantageous in a place where religion and football reign supreme."
According to CBS' character depiction, "While the sensitive, talented, and somewhat innocent Sheldon navigates the world, his entirely ordinary family must figure out how to handle him."
Armitage, who is 15 years old, gained prominence through "Young Sheldon" but has also secured roles in the well-known series "Big Little Lies" and the 2021 movie "PAW Patrol: The Movie."
Zoe Perry as Mary Cooper
Zoe Perry plays the younger version of Sheldon's mother, Mary Cooper, a character her mother portrayed in "The Big Bang Theory."
Perry has also guest-starred in episodes of "Scandal" and "The Family."
Lance Barber as George Cooper, Sr.
As per CBS, George "is grappling with his role as a high school football coach and as a father to a son he struggles to comprehend."
Barber, who is 50 years old, has taken on numerous roles over more than twenty years in the acting industry, including appearances in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and "The Comeback".
Annie Potts as Connie 'Meemaw' Tucker
According to CBS, Meemaw is described as Sheldon's "vocal and spirited Texas grandmother who enjoys a good drink and isn't afraid to speak her mind. She wholeheartedly backs her grandson and his special talents."
You might also recognize the 71-year-old Potts from hit films such as "Ghostbusters," "Pretty in Pink," and more recently, "Toy Story 4."
Raegan Revord as Missy Cooper
According to CBS, Missy, Sheldon's twin sister, "occasionally feels envious of all the focus on Sheldon, but also stands as the one individual who consistently tells Sheldon the unvarnished truth."
The record has been seen on the popular sitcom "Modern Family" and the Netflix series "Grace and Frankie".
Montana Jordan as Georgie Cooper
According to CBS, Georgie, Sheldon's elder brother, "does his utmost in high school, but it's challenging to maintain a cool image when you're in the same classes as your eccentric younger brother."
