Why Did The Family Of Arizona Professor Claim Money?
Arizona Professor who was killed on campus in 2022, the professor's settled a nine million dollars against the university, the family’s lawyer announced on Tuesday.
Arizona Professior's family filed a $9 million claim against the university in March, claiming the university failed to safeguard him from a student who had threatened him on multiple occasions. The family's lawyers, Greg Kuykendall and Larry Wulkan claimed to have led a "successful" mediation by outlining the implications for the university of pursuing a case without a settlement.
When asked about how much the professor's family received in the settlement, the lawyer did not respond.
The university said in a statement that the agreement includes a financial settlement for the family as well as a pledge to keep up supporting “the well-being of those most affected by these events” and giving the family a say in how security and safety measures are carried out on campus.

How And Why Did Arizona Professor Killed On Campus Of University?
Thomas Meixner (Arizona Professor) was fatally shot on Oct. 5, 2022, by a student (Dervish ) of Arizona University who had threatened him on multiple occasions, shot Meixer inside the Harshbarger Building where he headed the school’s Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences.
The incident began around 2 p.m. Police had received a call from inside the building, the Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences, requesting police escort a former student out of the building
officers were on the way to the university when they received reports of a shooting that left one person injured, according to then-campus police Chief Paula Balafas.
After being brought to a hospital, Meixner was eventually declared dead.
According to the authorities, Dervish was a graduate student of Meixner. He had a history of violence and intimidation that the university ignored, according to the Meixner family's notice of a legal claim against the university.
He faces a murder charge in connection with Meixner's death.
