Why Kia Recalls Vehicles?
Kia recalls around 100,000 cars and SUVs because of a potentially life-threatening risk associated with the vehicle roofs, as reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Federal safety regulators announced the recall on Monday following reports of safety concerns submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The problem involves the roof molding of the vehicles, which can loosen or detach while driving, potentially stemming from improper installation during the vehicle assembly process.
According to a safety recall report, signs of the issue include "noticeable lifting of the roof molding or unusual noise while driving."
The NHTSA warned that a dislodged roof molding could pose a road hazard for other vehicles, heightening the likelihood of a collision.
