The 2024 Oscars will occur on Sunday, March 10, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

The Oscar nominations 2024 were revealed today, with "Oppenheimer" leading the way with 13 nominations, followed closely by "Poor Things" with 11.

The 96th annual Academy Awards come after a year marked by the "Barbenheimer" craze surrounding "Barbie" and the widespread success of Christopher Nolan's epic World War II biopic, both raking in hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office.

Tuesday's announcement brought some surprises, notably the absence of a best director nomination for Greta Gerwig for "Barbie." Gerwig and Noah Baumbach received a nod for the movie's adapted screenplay. Still, star Margot Robbie, also a producer for the Best Picture nominee, was not recognized in the acting category.

(Ryan Gosling, nominated for his role as Ken, expressed disappointment, stating, "To say that I'm disappointed that they are not nominated in their respective categories would be an understatement.") Leonardo DiCaprio, a past Oscar winner, was not nominated for his role in "Killers of the Flower Moon."

On a positive note, Lily Gladstone, DiCaprio's co-star, made history as the first Native American nominated for best actress. America Ferrera secured a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination 2024 for her performance in "Barbie," bouncing back after not receiving a Golden Globe nomination. Justine Triet also made history as the eighth woman nominated for best director for "Anatomy of a Fall." Here is the complete list of this year's Oscar nominations 2024.
